Demolition is only half the job. Once a structure is down, there is brick, timber, concrete and mixed waste to deal with, and on many jobs that is where the time and the cost run away. Absolute Waste & Hire brings both halves together. We carry out the demolition with our own plant, and because we are a licensed waste carrier, we clear the waste away ourselves. You deal with one team and one quote from start to finish.

Before any demolition starts
Every demolition needs some groundwork before the first machine moves. These are the points to settle before a job is booked:
- Permissions. Some demolition needs planning permission or prior approval from the local council, and listed buildings and buildings in a conservation area have extra rules. If you are not sure, check with your council’s planning department first.
- Asbestos. Buildings put up before 2000 may contain asbestos. Before a building is demolished, the law requires a refurbishment and demolition survey so that any asbestos is found and dealt with by a licensed specialist first.
- Services. Gas, electricity and water supplies need to be disconnected and made safe by the supplier before a structure comes down.
- Access and neighbours. How the machines get in, where the waste is loaded, and how to keep disruption to neighbours down.
Cleared up afterwards
When the structure is down, we load the waste and take it away, and leave the site clear for whatever comes next. As a licensed waste carrier we can carry it legally, which protects you under your own duty of care for the waste.
